B30A er karburatorversionen af den seks-cylindrede B30 i 164-serien og anses for pålidelig, men efter mange mil sætter ventilsæderne sig, og styringerne slides ovale.

Et typisk kontrolpunkt ved en topstykkerenovering er netop sløret mellem ventilskaft og styring – for stort spil giver olieindtræk forbi styringen, og blårøgen ses ved motorbremse. Mål, inden du sliber sæderne om.
